I haven't read anything about the story so this is purely my guess based on layman understanding. Obviously, Lady Gaga has taken much of the singing spotlight lately which used to be commanded by Madonna during her peak time. In addition to the feeling of being left out (forgotten,) the blond, sexy look that Lady Gaga has been portraying also contributed to creating a sense of being cheated above and beyond just jealousy.
